Why Do Notifications Stop After a While?

Please make sure you have Background App Refresh activated for Pray Watch.

Pray Watch uses three opportunities to reschedule notifications in the future for about one week out:

  • Background App Refresh
  • When the user manually dismisses notifications from the tray
  • When the user opens the app

However, Background App Refresh is the most important one since it doesn’t depend on any user interaction; it reschedules when iOS feels is the best opportunity, such as charging your phone at night, for example.

To check if Background App Refresh is activated for Pray Watch:

  1. Open Pray Watch, go to Settings > System > iOS Settings.
  2. Use the toggle to turn Background App Refresh on.
